Overview:

RESPONSIBILITIES / DUTIES:
· Leading the UK sales team in order to maximise the utilisation of Genomic Health's products in key accounts across the UK to achieve or exceed the national sales targets while staying within budget
o Development and implement the national sales strategy
o Develop and manage the account mapping system and database

· Working closely with the Country Manager, UK Medical Affairs Director & Product Manager, the Sales Manager will be responsible for directing the day-to-day activities of the UK ROLs, coaching and motivating the team to be more effective and to accomplish the respective territory sales targets

· Responsible for specific private sector sales accounts within the central London territory in order to maximise the utilisation of Genomic Health's products in these key accounts.
o Delivering the selling messages
o Providing a high-level of customer service toward being the best in class assay provider
o Solving challenging problems in a dynamic environment
o In the territory, the Sales Manager will build and maintain a comprehensive understanding of her/his customer needs and develop key account records to manage these relationships

· Establish relationships with national key opinion leaders (KOLs) and drive KOL management together with the Country Manager, Medical Affairs and Sales Team

· Optimise the use of all resources, and work with the commercial operations team in Redwood City, CA for ongoing review and evaluation of the sales incentive system

QUALIFICATIONS:

· Significant pharmaceutical/diagnostics sales team management experience, ideally within oncology
· Proven large territory or large account management skills
· Strong experience and track record in selling with a strong record of success promoting complex products in medical oncology and/or diagnostics
· Established contacts with leading oncologists, surgeons and pathologist and breast centres across the UK
· Deep understanding (or strong ability to quickly learn) and familiarity with clinical research in cancer
· Marketing or managed care experience is a plus
· Ability to work closely with Customer Services Team
· Self-motivated
· Strong business acumen
· Strong interpersonal, organisational and communication skills both written and oral
· Ability to communicate effectively at all levels of the organisation
· Life science degree/clinical experience are a plus
· Clean UK driver's licence.
