Learning & Talent Management Systems Associate Director

Overview:

The Learning & Talent Management Systems Associate Director will be responsible for the development and implementation of corporate professional and management related learning solutions. Reporting to the Senior Director, Human Resources this individual will support and evolve the Learning & Development (L & D) strategic roadmap, including the evolution of the next phase of management development. The individual will design and deliver instructor led trainings- both in person, via the web, and live-on-line interactive sessions. As a key member of the HR team, the individual will also partner with the Chief People Officer and the HR Business Partners in delivering talent management practices that enable GHI employees to do their best work. This includes project management of employee engagement surveys, and accountability for delivering talent review practices. Strong collaboration and project management skills are essential to the success of this position, as well as a deep passion for evolving the content, design and delivery of training and development solutions. This is a new position for Genomic Health, and is located in our headquarters in Redwood City, CA. This individual will be a key contributor and influencer in creating and influencing a positive employee experience at Genomic Health.


RESPONSIBILITIES / DUTIES:
· Design, develop, and facilitate in-person workshops, and live-on-line learning
· Evolve GHI's leadership and manager training offerings to the next level.
· Establish metrics to measure and evaluate success of all programs.
· Partner with the Senior HR Learning specialist to market the L & D program.
· Partner with the Chief People Officer and the HR Business Partners to lead and evolve talent management practices.
· Engage with the senior HR Team and business leaders in the development of plans to ensure we have the capabilities to execute on the corporate strategic plan.
· Accountable for the GHI annual engagement survey including vendor management and communications, and project execution.
· Facilitate elements of GHI's on-boarding program for managers and all employees.
· Develop strong relationships with key stakeholders to assure that L&D programs are aligned with specific business priorities and outcomes.
· Leverage and maximize learning and development technologies and different modalities to expand the impact and scale of the L & D program globally.
· Align with the Quality organization and Commercial Learning organizations on training content and timing of delivery when possible to leverage resources and enhance the employee learning experience.
· Partner with the HRBPs to implement the L&D strategy and solve for unique client group challenges.
· Provide oversight for vendor selection and, with the Senior HR Learning specialist, vendor management as related to delivery of the L & D program. Continually refresh and revise learning programs to keep them relevant and aligned to business needs.


REQUIRED

· A minimum of 10 years of general relevant industry experience with 5+ years in learning and development. Experience in life science industry a plus.
· Bachelor's degree; degree in industrial psychology or education preferred.
· Significant knowledge of adult learning, training practice, concepts and procedures.
· Proven track record of creating high impact employee development programs.
· Demonstrated ability to understand business requirements and link business needs to learning solutions.
· Ability to conduct needs assessments and translate results into relevant solutions
· Excellent facilitation skills; familiarity with different channels and modalities for content delivery.
· Must have excellent communication skills including oral, written and presentation techniques.
· Operational excellence.
· Ability to lead project workstreams.
· Able to integrate and apply feedback in a professional manner.
· Able to prioritize and drive to results with a strong emphasis on high quality.
