Sr. Manager, ERP Technical Lead

Overview:

POSITION SUMMARY:

We are looking for a Sr. Manager, ERP Technical lead with a track record of leading multiple successful global ERP implementations in healthcare, life sciences or biotech companies. He/She will work cross-functionally across global business, technical, and third-party teams to transform global business processes and implement and integrate NetSuite as our single ERP and manage the technology lifecycle. The ERP Technical Lead should be comfortable driving large scope projects and operations that touch many areas of the company and managing technical deliverables to meet these commitments.

The ERP technical lead will be responsible for technical project coordination, communication, risk management and collaborate with Platform Lifecycle Management, IT, Finance, Supply Chain, and third-party implementation partner(s) to ensure smooth delivery and successful rollout of ERP projects to our internal and external customers.

The ERP lead will partner with a Platform Lifecycle Manager who will address roadmap and key business requirements as part of the ERP Portfolio Management process to prioritize operations and project needs
They will provide expertise in the area of system capabilities and best practice implementations, working with Solution Architects, Business System Analysts and hands-on technical teams to address project and operational needs.

The role includes line management of a team of technical resources working in the NetSuite system and ecosystem, including partners and vendors. To be successful, the individual must have experience working across in a matrix environment to influence business teams from a technical perspective to ensure that business needs are met in the short and long-term through optimal technical design and project implementation. Creation and management of an ERP technical roadmap is a key deliverable, showing key system architecture, integration and other changes that are mapped to business objectives.

RESPONSIBILITIES / DUTIES:
· Solution Delivery
o Leads a team including System Analysts and matrixed personnel (including Business Analysts, Architects, Project Managers, Software Engineers) to deliver projects in the global ERP domain
o Uses requirements determined by a Platform Lifecycle Manager and other business stakeholders to determine the technical approach for implementation
o Oversees systems design, analysis, and development projects to modify existing systems and to implement new custom or commercial off-the-shelf solutions
o Operational management for change requests, enhancements, upgrades and other elements of the technical lifecycle of ERP systems
· Team leadership and management
o Manager to a team of analysts responsible for the success of the ERP from a technical point of view
o Responsible for project assignments, operational assignments, work output, career development and leadership of the ERP IT team
· Relationship Management
o Builds and maintains a strong partnership with Product Management and acts as a liaison between technical teams
o Communicates key technical solution needs with appropriate IT group to gain alignment on solution delivery
o Assists other IT staff with the resolution of complex system problems
· Vendor Management
o Establishes initial vendor relationships and maintains a forward-looking view of vendor direction
o Interfaces with vendors to understand whether vendor products will meet business requirements
· Domain-specific
o Manages the IT aspects of the multi-year implementation of the global NetSuite ERP, working with business partners, Platform Lifecycle Management, PMO group, and other stakeholders as needed
o IT ownership of company-wide systems included in the ERP domain, including but not limited to NetSuite, Host Analytics, UltiPro, ExpenseWire, Concur and Celigo integrations
o IT ownership of key integrations with NetSuite, including those to our Enterprise Data Warehouse, Salesforce and external parties

QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE:
· Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or a related field
· More than 10 years of technical project leadership experience including business stakeholder management, project management, system analysis, and vendor management
· Deep Finance, Supply Chain operations, and ERP implementation experience
· Significant experience working with NetSuite as a solution is preferred
· Experience with multiple SaaS solutions and implementations
· Experience managing a team of direct reports focused on technical work in Information Technology

· Analysis skills to determine key technical requirements from prioritized business needs

· Solution Architecture
TRAVEL, PHYSICAL DEMANDS, AND WORK ENVIRONMENT:

· Travel Requirements: Limited Travel to occasionally meet with vendors or attend conferences
· Standing or sitting for long periods of time may be necessary
