Overview:

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Platform Lifecycle Manager will be directly responsible for strategy development, lifecycle and portfolio management in the key area of ERP. This includes concept to obsolescence for our systems associated with ERP and surrounding eco-system. This platform strategy should enable Genomic Health (GHI) to grow globally and meet requirements for Supply Chain and Financial domains as the company broadens its product portfolio and enters into new business models and markets.

S/He will accomplish these tasks by relying on a deep understanding and knowledge of internal customer needs and industry practices as well as establishing short and long-term objectives and plans that transform strategy into clear measurable results. The individual will accomplish his/her tasks through interactions with functions involved in global enterprise planning and operations, including customer service, clinical, laboratory operations, sales, sales operations, finance, information technologies, program management and legal functions, plus 3rd party partners.

This position collaborates with and influences executives, senior management, and development teams, requiring a strong team-focused approach. Strong business acumen and customer focus are essential to the success of this position as well as the ability to distill complex information from multiple sources into clear, compelling and actionable business cases. The Platform Lifecycle Manager is expected to have the broad knowledge of the ERP landscape in healthcare, life sciences or healthcare including system development, and implementation of global supply chain and finance functions.

RESPONSIBILITIES / DUTIES:

· Maximize the value of the global ERP solution by developing and maintaining the long-term strategy including multi-generational roadmap as they relate to improving operations and internal customer experience
· Platform service areas will include
o Core Finance; AP, AR, GL
o Financial Planning and Analysis
o Global Supply Chain; demand planning, manufacturing, warehousing, inventory management, order fulfillment
o Procurement
o External integrations into other systems, 3rd party partners or customers
o Internal integrations as relating to the flow of information to enable the customer experience
· Analyze and incorporate the impact of industry trends, internal customer needs, and solution offerings to develop differentiated roadmaps, new features and functionalities, and recommendations for investments to sustain existing company growth
· Prioritize opportunities to build, cultivate and maintain business operations, and build business cases to inform further project and resource investments accordingly
· Provide platform lifecycle management leadership, from concept to release and beyond, as an integral member of a small cross-functional leadership team, collaborating with a Platform Manager and Technical Leads. This includes leading portfolio management, a voice of customer research, product/service definition, product/service features and performance requirements and tradeoffs, product/service value proposition and business case, support of internal teams during operationalization, and transition with internal customers and other parties for solution launch.
· Build relationships with key opinion leaders, strategic internal and external partners
· Create and manage the short and long-term roadmaps for ERP, including Long Range Planning and strategy
· Other responsibilities as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS:

REQUIRED

· BS in Management Information Systems, or other Computer Systems or Engineering field, with a general understanding of diagnostic laboratory tests and medical devices and their characteristics
· A minimum of 10+ years of general relevant industry experience with 5+ years in the ERP domain with a career emphasis on requirements definition, analysis and software system delivery
· Delivery of a major ERP SaaS-based solution, either leading an implementation or playing a significant leadership role as a part of a cross-functional implementation project team
· Self-starter with the demonstrated ability to generate and articulate a strong product or platform vision and strategy and carry it all the way to tactical planning and successful execution in a dynamic environment
· Demonstrated ability to effectively distill a large amount of complex customer and technical data from multiple sources into a clear value proposition and to articulate and communicate this value proposition to a range of customer and internal audiences.
· Must have proven ability to build relationships and work effectively as a leader and/or team member with cross-functional teams including supply chain, finance, software development, software testing, operations, commercial, legal, and business development.
· Direct experience with Waterfall and Agile methodology for requirements delivery and software development
· Familiarity with software development and project management methodologies in regulated environments (SOX, FDA, ISO, CE).
· Must have demonstrated success in managing multiple stakeholders and resolving conflict within teams.
· Experience working across a matrix project and operations environment
· Must have excellent communication skills including oral, written and presentation techniques.
· Able to integrate and apply feedback in a professional manner.
· Able to prioritize and drive to results with a high emphasis on quality.


DESIRED

· MBA preferred
· Experience working with NetSuite ERP
· Strong knowledge and experience in delivering systems to support global medical or IVD device supply chains
· Strong analytical skills with experience with financial modeling or data analysis skills. Ability to build and analyze financial models to forecast and track results
· Experience with business development including in-licensing and external partnerships


TRAVEL, PHYSICAL DEMANDS, AND WORK ENVIRONMENT:

· Travel Requirements: 10-20% Travel
· Standing or sitting for long periods of time may be necessary
