Overview:

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Platform Lifecycle Manager will be directly responsible for strategy development, lifecycle and portfolio management, and management of the delivery of technology solutions in the key area of our Employee Experience. This includes concept to project delivery through to obsolescence for our HR, work management and other related systems that our employees use every day to complete the project and operational work and collaborate with one another. This platform strategy should enable Genomic Health (GHI) to grow globally, for our talented employees to become more productive and be an enabler for Genomic Health to be a fantastic place to work.

S/He will accomplish these tasks by relying on a deep understanding and knowledge of internal customer needs and industry solutions as well as establishing short and long-term objectives and plans that transform our Employee Experience strategy into clear measurable results. The individual will accomplish his/her tasks through interactions with functions involved in talent management, employee growth and development, hiring, onboarding, work management, knowledge management, training, resource planning and communications.

This position collaborates with and influences executives, senior management, and individual team members, requiring a strong team-focused approach. Strong business acumen, technology management skills, and customer focus are essential to the success of this position as well as the ability to distill complex information from multiple sources into clear, compelling and actionable business cases. The Platform Lifecycle Manager is expected to have broad knowledge and experience of the employee collaboration, communication and HRIS tool landscape including system development, project leadership, and experience leading the implementation of a global HRIS.

RESPONSIBILITIES / DUTIES:

· Maximize employee engagement and experience by developing and maintaining the long-term system platform strategy including multi-generational roadmaps as related to improving productivity and internal customer experience

o Knowledge Management
o Benefits Management
o Employee Growth and Development
o Work planning and activity time tracking
o External integrations into other systems and 3rd party partners
o Internal integrations as they relate to the flow of information to enable the employee experience
· Analyze and incorporate the impact of industry trends, internal customer needs, and solution offerings to develop differentiated roadmaps, new features, and functionalities, and recommendations for investments to sustain existing company growth and productivity improvements
· Prioritize opportunities to build, cultivate and maintain business operations, and build business cases to inform further project and resource investments accordingly
· Provide lifecycle management leadership, from concept to release and beyond, as an integral member of a small cross-functional leadership team. This includes supporting portfolio management, the voice of customer research, product/service definition, product/service features and performance requirements and tradeoffs, product/service value proposition and business case, support of internal teams during operationalization, and transition with internal customers and other parties for solution launch.
· Direct line management of a small experienced team managing technical implementation work, and a matrixed team working with 3rd party solutions
· Build relationships with key opinion leaders, strategic internal and external partners
· Create and manage the short and long-term roadmaps for Employee Experience solutions, including Long Range Planning and strategy
· Other responsibilities as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS:

REQUIRED

· BS in Management Information Systems, Computer Systems, or other engineering or information system related field
· A minimum of 10+ years of general relevant industry experience with 5+ years in the Human Resource Information System domain with a career emphasis on stakeholder management, analysis, and software system delivery
· Experience managing technical teams focused on SaaS solution delivery
· Self-starter with the demonstrated ability to generate and articulate a strong product or platform vision and strategy and carry it all the way to tactical planning and successful execution in a dynamic environment
· Demonstrated ability to effectively distill a large amount of complex customer and technical data from multiple sources into a clear value proposition and to articulate and communicate this value proposition to a range of customer and internal audiences.
· Must have proven ability to build relationships and work effectively as a leader and/or team member with cross-functional teams including supply chain, finance, software development, software testing, operations, commercial, legal, and business development.
· Direct experience with Waterfall and Agile methodology for requirements delivery and software development
· Must have demonstrated success in managing multiple stakeholders and resolving conflict within teams.
· Experience working across a matrix project and operations environment
· Must have excellent communication skills including oral, written and presentation techniques.
· Able to integrate and apply feedback in a professional manner.
· Able to prioritize and drive to results with a high emphasis on quality.

DESIRED

· MBA preferred
· Familiarity with software development and project management methodologies in regulated environments (SOX, FDA, ISO, CE).
· Experience working in the healthcare, life sciences or biotech industries
· Strong analytical skills with experience with financial modeling or data analysis skills
· Ability to build and analyze financial models to forecast and track results
· Experience with business development including in-licensing and external partnerships

TRAVEL, PHYSICAL DEMANDS, AND WORK ENVIRONMENT:

· Travel Requirements: 10-20% Travel
· Standing or sitting for long periods of time may be necessary
