International Sales Effectiveness & Training Lead

OVERVIEW

The Sales Effectiveness & Training Lead is primarily responsible for establishing an effective training strategy for the International Sales organization and ensuring highest level of commercial excellence. This role will focus training activities on improving territory management, account management and call efficiency. Training programs will be customized by country needs and will include product specific training, disease state training and other professional development programs to increase effectiveness of newly hired and experienced sales personnel. This position reports to the Senior Director Marketing and Commercial Excellence, International and is based in Geneva, Switzerland.

RESPONSIBILITIES
Sales Effectiveness and Sales Force Automation
· Define an integrated model for the sales teams to effectively target and drive the adoption of Oncotype DX products by leveraging available tools and resources.
· Collaborate with sales management and country managers to develop territory business plans and the account mapping approach.
· Provide leadership and coordination for the Sales Force Automation (SFA) tool across International.
· Collaborate with International Marketing and Medical Affairs to determine which new publications, programs, and marketing initiatives should be introduced to complement the efforts of the sales team.
Sales Training
· Conduct ongoing assessment of the training needs of the International Sales organization and assess the effectiveness of the training programs to ensure internal customer needs are met.
· Responsible for identifying, developing and managing continuing education for the entire sales force to result in the best trained, most knowledgeable and professional sales organization
· Develop individualized training programs to assist in specific skill development as identified by the International Marketing and Country Manager teams.
· Define and implement new employee training in collaboration with the corporate training department and country managers
· Ensure that our distributors have a level of product knowledge that allows them to promote our products effectively.
· Support the Commercial training team in the selection of vendors, as necessary, for the development and delivery of training materials.
· Partner with sales and marketing leadership to provide consistent messaging to the sales force.
· Provide continuing sales training and education of the sales team through workshops at relevant sales meetings. In addition, provide continuous refinement of all training materials utilized in training programs.
· Provide input and development to web-based learning tools.

QUALIFICATIONS
· Proven track-record in sales training and sales leadership
· Ability to facilitate training programs and encourage broad participation by tailoring training initiatives to target audience
· Excellent communication skills, presentation and facilitation skills
· Strong knowledge of adult learning principles which can be applied and integrated into all training programs
· Oncology sales experience preferred
· Have a strong technical knowledge of molecular diagnostics and oncology which can be conveyed effectively and simply to others with clear messages
· Self-starter with results orientation
· Strong project management skills
· Ability to manage multiple priorities based on changing business needs
· Demonstrated leadership in working with cross-functional departments in an international environment
· English fluency; other languages a plus
· PC, MS Office skills
· B.S or B.A. degree
· 8+ years of pharmaceutical / biotechnology experience
