Overview:

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Solution Architect will lead and drive the implementation, use, adoption, and expansion of the key solutions that comprise the Employee Experience at Genomic Health. These include solutions such as SharePoint, Office 365 applications, Box, Learning Management system, electronic Quality Management System, Knowledge Management and HRIS.
The candidate is expected to have technical solution architecture and applications knowledge of multiple platforms, be considered a leading expert in Enterprise level solutions and lead all technical projects in their domain across the company. The Solution Architect is highly customer-focused, working with a wide variety of business stakeholders, from executives and SVPs down to individual users to understand and translate complex business process flow and use cases to technical solutions.
The architect will use their in-depth knowledge of pragmatic solution architecture to ensure that the company maximizes return on investment and will be responsible for understanding company goals and objectives, both short and long term, and developing strategies to address these and expanding global work management needs.
The Solution Architect will lead technical teams and their deliverables, including in-house resources, third-party solution providers or contract resources as required to successfully deliver a project and ensure we stay compliant with appropriate quality, regulatory and other standards. The individual will work as part of and lead cross-functional project teams, including developers, business subject matter experts, analysts, and testers. The Solution Architect will be responsible for managing annual investment in their domain applications as agreed as part of the IT budget. The scope of influence for the role is multi-functional, across the company and across other enterprise systems.

RESPONSIBILITIES / DUTIES:
· Solution architecture, design, implementation, maintenance and support of integrated computing environments in an enterprise environment to support best practice processes
· Life cycle management of applications delivering business requirements and ensuring platform sustainability over the long-term
· Development and communication of technical roadmaps
· The leadership of technical projects and overall responsibility for technical deliverables and quality of the solution
· Work collaboratively with internal customers from senior management to individual contributors to develop and execute solution strategies that support company goals and objectives
· Hands-on as needed to complete operations work and platform development of application instances, working with internal and external technical resources as needed
· Identify opportunities to drive maximum value from the organization's IT strategy by targeting areas which contribute to improved business performance and innovation
· Document existing (as-is) and future state (to-be) business processes, define and document functional requirements, and conduct information flow analysis and process modeling within and across multiple business streams to meet the demands of the system rollout
· Prepare and present related material to project teams, steering committees and/or stakeholder organizations in the form of written deliverables and presentations
· Analyze current employee experience related processes, define the future state, perform a gap analysis to get from current state to future state, and deliver documentation comprising all the analysis including detailed requirements
· Define business aligned end-to-end IT services and map current end-user service requests to defined applications and services
· Management of project and system stakeholders, setting expectations on how systems can support business processes
· Critically evaluate information gathered from multiple sources, reconcile conflicts, decompose high-level information into details, abstract up from low-level information to a general understanding, and distinguish user requests from the underlying true needs

QUALIFICATIONS:

REQUIRED
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills
· 12 years+ of related experience in business systems analysis, platform development and maintenance, and solutions projects delivery
· 5 years' experience with SharePoint, with an emphasis on SharePoint Online, as a Solutions Architect or lead developer
· Knowledge of and experience with the rollout of Office 365 applications such as Teams, Yammer, Streams, Delve, Graph etc
· Experience with the implementation of a global HRIS, such as Workday or SAP
· Outstanding ability to interact and collaborate with end users, business owners, and other team members from the business and technical domains, and all levels of an organization
· Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills in planning and designing creative technical solutions to meet customer needs
· Able to prioritize, work independently, lead technical teams and drive to results with a high emphasis on quality

DESIRED

· Industry experience within biotech, or life sciences
· Workday implementation experience
· ServiceNow and SuccessFactors LMS implementation and operations experience
· Experience working with a Corporate Communications team to provide a compelling employee communications experience across multiple technology channels
