Data Engineering Manager

We are looking for a Data Engineering Manager with a track record of leading Analytics, modern data warehouse, and Master Data Management teams, and solutions. He/She will manage technical, and third-party teams to design and implement appropriate data architectures, infrastructure, data ingestion pipelines, and enablement tools, processes, and controls to help the Engineering team grow at scale. You show a real passion for agile methodology, modern software development practices (CI/CD, test automation, Agile BI practices, data acquisition automation etc.).

The Data Engineering Manager should be comfortable driving large scope projects and develop a data roadmap using the most appropriate technologies and manage and expand in-house team's capability to support growth and global expansion. He/She will be responsible for technical project coordination, communication, risk management and collaborate with Platform Lifecycle Managers, PMO and third-party implementation partner(s) to ensure smooth delivery and successful rollout of projects.

The Data Engineering Manager will provide expertise around system capabilities and best practice implementations, working with Solution Architects, Business System Analysts and hands-on technical teams to address project and operational needs. To be successful, the individual must have experience working across in a matrix environment to influence business teams from a technical perspective to ensure that business needs are met in the short and long-term through optimal technical design and project implementation.

The role includes line management of a team of technical resources working in the Analytics, Master Data Management solutions including managed services partners. You understand the big picture, but you are also detail-oriented and can create clear, achievable implementation plans that drive the team to success. You demonstrate a positive, "can do" attitude; possess great communication skills and business acumen; and are ready to jump in and make things happen.

Your Responsibilities:
· Work closely with the systems analysis team to deliver analytical capabilities and business information solutions to support business strategies and objectives.
· Lead technical solution assessment, technical debt management implementations, and proof of concepts exercises.
· Collaborate with key business users to identify needs and opportunities for improved data management, analytics capability enablement/gaps and effective delivery of information.
· Lead Master Data issue resolution efforts. Identify master data quality issues and engage data stewards, IT application teams and other subject matter experts (SMEs) as appropriate to determine root cause and resolve as necessary.
· Ensure Agile Business Intelligence development processes are constantly evolving and streamlined.
· Work with technical onshore and offshore development teams to complete deliverables.
· Lead, manage and mentor the existing individual contributors of the Engineering team through its next phase of growth.
· Foster an environment that encourages quality, productivity, innovation, and personal development.
· Responsible for project assignments, operational assignments, work output, back up planning and leadership of the Engineering team.
· Ensuring the team's growth by ensuring the right processes are in place, communication is efficient and hiring the right talent to fill in the gaps.
· Coach and mentor developers on data acquisition, application development, Analytics, and Data Management best practices.
· Builds and maintain a strong partnership with the Analyst teams, and acts as a liaison between technical teams.
· Be comfortable to communicate key technical solution needs with appropriate IT group to gain alignment on solution delivery.
· Monitor and report on the performance of the Managed Services team to ensure delivery in line per SLA.
· Work with technical onshore and offshore development teams to complete deliverables.

Your Qualifications:
· Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related discipline; MBA desirable.
· Minimum of 12 or more years of professional experience in developing and optimizing data management platforms and processes to deliver business intelligence solutions; enterprise software industry experience a plus.
· Minimum of 2 years of experience in leading/managing people and developing high performing teams of data warehouse developers and applications.
· A good attitude where he/she is open to others' ideas, willing to change to adopt a better solution and is able to respect others to build ONE GHI culture.
· Experience in managing multi-projects/programs simultaneously with timely completion.
· Self-motivated with a willingness to learn with a strong sense of accountability and a proven track record of delivering results.
· Working experience and knowledge in data warehouse concepts, Big Data, BI tools, cloud platforms, Informatica, Salesforce, ERP, and MDM systems.
· Experience implementing Analytical and Data Warehouse solution in the cloud (preferably Azure and Power BI).
· Expertise in data warehouse architecture, solutions and data modeling standards.
· Project management experience using Agile a strong plus.
· Demonstrated ability to work and communicate effectively (written and verbal) in a global team environment with technical and business audiences.
· Strong facilitation, influencing and negotiating skills.
