Sales Manager, Germany

To strengthen our Sales Organization, we are looking for an exceptional Sales Manager, based in Germany, and working closely with the Country Manager.

Role purpose

Leading the German sales team to maximize the utilization of GHI's products in key accounts across Germany to achieve/exceed the national sales targets while staying within budget. Working closely with the Group Country Manager, DACH Medical Affairs Director & Product Manager, the Sales Manager will be responsible for directing the day-to-day activities of the German ROLs, coaching and motivating the team to be more effective and to accomplish the respective territory sales targets

· Delivering the selling messages
· Develop and implement the national sales strategy
· Solving challenging problems in a dynamic environment
· Develop and manage the account mapping system and database
· Providing a high-level of customer service toward being the best in class assay provider
· Responsible for specific defined TOP accounts to maximize the utilization of Genomic Health's products in these key accounts.
· Build and maintain a comprehensive understanding of the customer needs and develop key account records to manage these relationships
· Establish relationships with national key opinion leaders (KOLs) and drive KOL management together with the Country Manager, Medical Affairs and Sales Team
· Optimize the use of all resources, and work with the commercial operations team in Geneva and Redwood City, CA for ongoing review and evaluation of the sales incentive system

Who you are

You are someone who has the ability to work closely with Customer Services Team, self-motivated, strong business acumen, strong interpersonal, organizational and communication skills. Furthermore you have the following skills, experience and qualifications:

· Clean German driver's license
· Life science degree/clinical experience
· Marketing or managed care experience
· Proven large territory or large account management skills
· High degree of flexibility to allow efficient coaching and KOL management
· Experienced and motivated coach - develop a team of top performing sales experts
· Significant pharmaceutical/diagnostics sales team management experience, ideally within oncology
· Deep understanding and familiarity with clinical research in cancer
· Established contacts with leading gynecologists, oncologists, pathologists and breast centers across Germany
· Track record in selling with success in promoting complex products in medical oncology and/or diagnostics
