Overview:

OVERVIEW
Genomic Health's revenue team is seeking a Senior Revenue Accountant II to play an important role in revenue close, account reconciliations, preparation of various analytical reports for both international and domestic revenue and AR. Reporting to the Revenue Manager, this position will require strong analytical and investigative skills, attention to detail and the ability to carry out multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines while driving improvements to process.

RESPONSIBILITIES
·Support month-end revenue close and monthly reconciliations of AR and revenue accounts
·Reconciliation of revenue reports by payor, country, and product
·Follow up on new agreements and contracts with a focus on pricing changes and rebates
·Analysis of AR aging for past due balances
·Ownership and full cycle management of assigned processes (e.g. refund process, international payors, etc.)
·Reconciliation of monthly write-offs and other AR adjustments
·Preparation of journal entries
·Interaction with customer service, commercial operations and third billing party on customer related issues as needed.
·Consistent and proactive interaction with a third-party billing and collections company to ensure a seamless process of adjusting customers balances, processing refunds, acting as a point of contact for billing or payment application inquiries for international payers
·Preparation of complex spreadsheets, utilizing graphs and extensive use of analytical tools (pivots, lookups) to illustrate findings and report results
·Creative approach to mine data and analyze trends while explaining variances
·Participation in special revenue related projects and performing additional duties as required
·Responsible for keeping various files and documentation updated for easy reference
·Assistance with SOX and financial audits (PBC items, document support, reports)
·Proactively researching and reconciling data during the month to decrease days of close

ESSENTIAL KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:
·Strong analytical and creative problem-solving skills a must
·Understanding of revenue accounting in accordance with ASC606
·Demonstrated ability to work with large volumes of data using multiple reports and data sources from multiple applications
·Attention to detail and ability to multi-task to manage priorities while driving improvements to the process
·Ability to independently problem solve and come to the solution on projects, key issues, and obstacles
·Ability to work as a team and adapt to a rapidly growing and changing environment.
·Advanced Excel skills (e.g. pivot tables & VLOOKUP's a must) and ability to work with large volumes of transactional data maintaining data accuracy and integrity
·Team player, dependable and a good communicator with excellent verbal and written communication skills
·Ability to work independently in a high-paced environment with tight deadlines and offer improvements
·Build and maintain cross-functional relationships (contract management, business intelligence, customer service, third billing and collection party)
·NetSuite experience is a plus
·Experience in the industry is a plus

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION:
·BA/BS degree in Finance or Accounting
·6+ years of progressive accounting and revenue experience handling heavy transactional details of AR & revenue and working with cross-functional teams
·Familiarity with ASC606
·Experience in a Public Company and SOX control environment
