POSITION SUMMARY:
Genomic Health is seeking a Senior Workforce Capacity Planning Manager to ensure strategic goals are met through internal workforce capacity planning and reporting. This position is responsible for managing the internal workforce capacity planning process for the IT and R&D departments, the capacity planning tool and vendor, analyzing capacity data, creating dashboards and reports, identifying opportunities for improvement and recommending solutions. The ideal candidate will have experience building and maintaining a workforce capacity planning process in a biotech or diagnostics company, be able to analyze data, identify trends, create reports, have project management experience and the ability to present to all levels of the organization.

The position will report to the Senior Director of Program Management within the Business and Product Development organization.

RESPONSIBILITIES / DUTIES:
· Assess and manage the Workforce Capacity Planning systems, tools and processes for the R&D and IT departments
· Accurately forecast work volume, staffing levels, and resourcing needs to enable R&D and IT teams to achieve strategic goals
· Prepare, analyze, summarize and deliver executive-level updates on Workforce Capacity plans, insights, and trends to inform and guide critical business decisions
· System administration for capacity planning tool including back-end (configuration, troubleshooting, upgrades) and front-end (user training, road mapping) and vendor management.
· Participate in the sizing and scoping of new projects and initiatives by providing and analyzing historical data
· Analyze historical resource utilization trends and provide input and recommendations to improve planning and the Workforce Capacity Planning process
· Participate in Departmental and Program Budget creation and management

QUALIFICATIONS:

REQUIRED
· Minimum 8+ years' experience with at least 5+ years in workforce capacity planning and demonstrated in-depth system and process knowledge.
· Bachelor's degree in Math, Statistics, Finance, Economics, or another quantitative field
· Strong Microsoft Office skills (Excel, Word, Power Point)
· Excellent Project Management methodology and process development skills
· Strong communicator with ability to maintain open communication with internal employees, managers and customers as needed
· Able to integrate and apply feedback in a professional manner
· Able to prioritize and drive to results with a high emphasis on quality
· Ability to work as part of a team

DESIRED
· MBA
· Experience with Planview or other resource management tools
· Experience building workforce capacity planning process
