Genomic Health, a subsidiary of Exact Sciences is the world's leading provider of genomic-based diagnostic tests that address both the over-treatment and optimal treatment of early-stage cancer, one of the greatest issues in healthcare today. We're in search of an extraordinary Sr. Software Project Manager to join our dynamic team.

Senior Software Project Managers at Exact Sciences are responsible for planning, organizing and leading software projects and workstreams to achieve a high level of performance and quality to deliver exceptional software products. The Sr. Software Project Manager will lead and manage large, complex projects working with multiple Agile software teams as well as performing other cross-functional activities outside the scope of the software teams. The Sr. Software Project Manager may be responsible for managing several concurrent high visibility In Vitro Diagnostic (IVD) software projects that cross multiple programs and functions. The Sr. Software Project Manager is expected to operate at both strategic and tactical levels.


· Manage cross functional team through creation and execution of Software Project Plans
· Track, manage and communicate progress against project goals
· Continuously analyze and manage project risk
· Partner with Program Directors to adapt to program changes and constraints
· Identify and drive tradeoff decisions to remove barriers to project success
· Execute effective communication mechanisms and messages to keep team members and stakeholders engaged and informed
· Build and lead high functioning teams by ensuring each team member is fully engaged and held accountable
· Advocate for using and improving project management practices, methods and tools



· BS/BA degree in Life Sciences, Computer Science, Engineering or related discipline
· A proven track record of successfully implementing software development projects for Medical Device or In Vitro Diagnostic (IVD) products.
· At least 8 years of experience as a Project Manager including management of large, complex projects in a medical device, life science or healthcare industry .
· Solid understanding of software development life cycle models as well as expert knowledge of both Agile and traditional project management principles and practices and the ability to blend them together in the right proportions to fit a project and business environment
· Interpersonal and facilitation skills - proven ability to effectively build relationships and achieve alignment across a wide range of functions and constituents
· Communication skills- Must be able to effectively communicate and influence at all levels of the organization including C level executives, technical and non-technical stakeholders, team members and functional managers
· Business Acumen - Sound grasp of the key business drivers and considerations in the biotech, pharmaceutical, medical device and /or life science industries
· Regulatory and Quality - Knowledge of the regulatory framework governing Medical Device and/or IVD products, including ISO 13485, IEC 62304, FDA 510(k) & PMA, CE-IVD-D & CE IVD-R standards and guidance.
· Leadership - ability to identify key issues, motivate and empower others to address them in a way which builds morale, generates ownership and commitment within the team


· Project Management Institute PMP® certification
· SCRUM Master certification


· Travel Requirements: <10%
· Standing or sitting for long periods of time may be necessary
· Use of computer, and or telephone for long periods of time may be necessary.
